R224700DescriptionAbout this roleJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dynamic, commercially savvy, client-focused sales leader to lead our Taiwan client business teams. This role will be based in Taiwan and jointly reports to the Country Head of Taiwan and the APAC Heads of Wealth.The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a strategy for Taiwan’s wealth clients. Specific activities include client segmentation, product strategy, distribution and team development.Collaboration will be critical to the success of this role. We expect the candidate to build effective partnerships across local and global teams to deliver the full suite of BlackRock products across alternatives, active, passive, ETFs, and technology to deepen and broaden BlackRock’s partnership with key clients.Responsibilities
  • Formulate, drive and execute an integrated strategy across all wealth distribution channel in Taiwan.
  • Actively enable cross-channel sales opportunities, closely partnering with internal teams, to position a complete set of BlackRock capabilities to clients
  • Deliver on country revenue targets and act as senior sales lead to broaden and deepen client base; strengthen BlackRock’s industry profile and connectivity
  • Form strong relationships with senior leadership across BlackRock and leverage their influence to drive results
  • Identify how global and local industry trends and macro factors affect our clients and develop innovative client propositions
  • Engage with internal product development stakeholders and specialist sales teams to develop BlackRock’s investment solution and product offerings for our clients
  • Provide key market intelligence to help guide local and regional strategy, current product enhancement efforts, as well as new product development initiatives.
  • Identify and execute on new client partnerships. Understand each client’s due diligence process and investment requirements and develop a strategic relationship with relevant gatekeepers and senior management through active coverage
  • Monitor ongoing client structure, client investment objectives and benchmarks
  • Lead and inspire the team and develop a talent bench to meet business objectives
  • Live our BlackRock Principles and be a culture carrier for the firm. Build an inclusive environment with diverse insights and expertise.
Knowledge/ Experience
  • 15 or more years of industry experience in sales and business leadership across asset management, investment solutions and capital markets
  • Business builder – demonstrated ability to develop new business and products and drive commercial success
  • Self-starter, personable and self- initiated with the ability to motivate and drive a team and to collaborate and connect cross-functionally both regionally and locally within BlackRock
  • Detailed product and market knowledge across capital markets, asset classes, and investment vehicles. Deep relations with business leaders and decision makers within the Taiwan financial services sector.
  • Matrix Management – able to partner with senior leaders in a highly matrixed environment to achieve a shared goal
