- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in electronics system design or validation
- Experience in one of the following: SOCs/MCUs, Battery engineering, Signal Integrity, low/high speed interface, or Power/Analog/Camera system engineering
- Experience in providing technical communication
- Experience in board bring-up, debugging of complex electronic systems, manufacturing testing processes, hardware validation cycles, debug and measurement methods
- Experience in driving projects to mass production
- Experience in writing diagnostic test and automation software in Python, Labview, or similar environment for bring-up and testing
- Familiarity with Cadence PCB CAD tools (e.g. Cadence DE-HDL)
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed
- Great verbal and written communication skills

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.
With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture/integration and system hardware design reviews.
- Participate in or lead system bring-up. Architect, design, debug and characterize hardware system performance tests for quality. Design and Execute hardware system test plan.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to accomplish hardware builds.
- Identify issues with electrical components, printed circuit board (PCB), or systems. Debug and analyze key issues, risks, trade offs, and address hardware failures with corrective solutions.
- Provide documentation of electrical design, implementation, or test/validation results.
