Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of software development experience in developing in C/C++.
• Experience with Android HAL and Kernel device drivers development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or other technical related field.
• Experience with ARM and/or other low-power SoC architectures.
• Experience in shell/python programming
• Experience working with hardware designers/reading schematics.
• Experience with PCIe interfaces and is familiar with PCIe protocols, Software stacks, Drivers.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
  
  

About The Job

The Google Pixel team has designed and built mobile devices and services that showcase the potential of the Android platform. We work to revolutionize how people interact with devices on the android platform.

In this role, you will help develop the whole software stack for future android devices, ranging from SoC bring-up to platform. You will join the embedded software team to help architect, develop, test, and deploy complex embedded consumer devices. You will also use Python and Linux shell scripts to develop automation tests which can enrich the test coverages for increasing the product quality. In addition, you will have the chance to work with the Android kernel team for software stack development and contribute valuable designs to the Linux kernel upstream.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. Responsibilities

• Develop the whole software stack for Pixel devices.
• Provide technical solutions for cross-functional teams to develop the next generation of Google SoC.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the system architecture, which can improve the power and optimize performance in PCIe drivers.
• Analyze PCIe related issues with hardware and software functional teams.
• Work with the chipset vendors for solutions and fixes end-to-end issues.
