[Summary]

This position is a Manager position depending on appropriate candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience profile. A key role reporting to the Revenue Director and responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of all revenue transactions related to products, services and promotions in accordance with US GAAP. This person will have an extensive US GAAP technical revenue accounting background in a multi-element environment, strong analytical abilities, and have a proven ability to foster proactive working relationships with cross-functional and global organizations. Will provide leadership of the application of revenue recognition and various accounting policies and procedures on a global basis. Involved in RevPro accounting financial close process, and related key controls (e.g., Revenue contract related validation testing)

[Essential Duties and Responsibilities]

• Worldwide revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP

• Ensure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a worldwide basis

• Possess knowledge of revenue recognition rules under US GAAP and use this knowledge together with strong analytical abilities to prepare analyses

• Manage revenue analysts and their recurring accounting process during the month, quarter and year-end closing process for revenue and including utilizing RevPro.

• Directly manage and apply technical accounting to customer contracts

• Revenue Accounting contact for Sales, Marketing, FP&A and other business groups to understand and resolve revenue recognition issues; provide training and guidance as needed as lead special projects as required

• Support SSP, Volume Discounts and other revenue estimates as well as RevPro applications as applicable

• Identify technical accounting issues impacting revenue recognition and gather the facts to prepare any ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue accounting position papers as applicable

• Lead and manage key Revenue area key SOX controls and compliance for Revenue team

• Key contact with external auditors to review contract management and revenue recognition accounting and assessments and to manage quarterly and annual audits

• Research and advise on changes in accounting guidance and the application to align

• Identify areas of process improvements and operational efficiencies and drive projects to successful completion

• Lead special projects as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Revenue Accounting working in the Accounting/Finance department of a public company preferred

• MS Excel experience using advanced formulas and modeling

• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge particularly around revenue-recognition ~ Public accounting experience desirable

• Experience and in-depth knowledge of revenue accounting related to multi element arrangements

• Working Knowledge of ASC 606

• Ability to conduct technical accounting research and document findings

• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills as well as ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions

• Ability to effectively present information with confidence and accuracy to various levels of internal management and external auditors

• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change

• Ability to train and develop employees

• Matrix leadership experience of direct reports and cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, and Legal)

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations, while problem solving and effectively multi-tasking to arrive at the correct resolutions

• Strong knowledge of SOX requirements, including the ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls related to revenue and deferred revenue

• Manage revenue analysts’ and their respective portion of recurring accounting process during the month, quarter and year-end closing process for revenue and including utilizing RevPro.

• Experience with large ERP systems (preferably, SAP), RevPro and SAP BI experience a plus and related data across a global business footprint.

• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
