Job Description

The Associate’s primary role is to provide support for institutional clients who use FTSE Fixed Income and Multi-Asset (FIMA) Indices. FTSE’s Indices are used by 98 of the top 100 asset managers globally by AUM, with over $16.2 Trillion in total assets benchmarked against them. Associates coordinate with local market experts, strategically located around the globe, to provide exceptional service to this client base. Additional responsibilities may involve researching and tracking financial markets relating to our Index products and Exchange Traded Funds and assisting developers in testing new software products and features.

Index calculations are performed by a set of analytical software tools called The Yield Book. Associates will assist users by interpreting these calculations, such as price-yield and option-adjusted calculations, duration and convexity analysis, return attribution, and comparison of portfolios to a benchmark.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include

This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain a broad perspective on fixed income markets, including government, agency, corporate investment grade, high yield and emerging market securities.

Acts as a first point of contact for institutional clients, taking ownership for the resolution of index queries, engaging directly with clients to gain a deeper understanding of their use cases and business needs

Reviews and distributions communications to clients regarding new products and services, service enhancements and disruptions, contractual licensing, and user permissions

Manages the onboarding process for new clients in conjunction with the Sales teams, identifying client training opportunities where necessary

Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring clients receive the best possible service

Analyses more advanced client queries and requests, extracting bespoke data when necessary, and delegating less complex activity

Skills

/Experience

This is an Individual Contributor role

BA/BS in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or Business, with high academic standing

Previous experience in client service

Knowledge of fixed income securities

Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
