Organization & Role

The Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, driven Field Application Engineer (Simulation) who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Advise customer on hardware requirements to realize IC ATE device testing PCB design projects, including Probe card, load board and others.
  • Perform PCB PI/SI simulation task for High speed digital, RF, and High current power design.
  • Solve the PI/SI issue with PCB design team and customer.
  • Manage simulation schedules and keep customers informed of the simulation status. Manage customer to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Gather and understand customer requirements. Verify whether the information is enough to initiate a design project.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • BS/MS in EE is preferred
  • 3 years or more related working experience
  • Needs to be knowledgeable in electronics and signal/power integrity routing techniques
  • Requires skills in Ansys PI/SI simulation tools and fine tune the PI/SI performance in PCB design.
  • Skills in other simuation tools, such as Cadence Sigrity is a plus. Knowledge in IC design and package PI/SI tasks is a plus.
  • Requires strong English and Chinese communication skills for technical discussions in verbal and written form. Able to communicate with suppliers, customers, and other designers around the world. At times, willing to communicate with timezones in Europe and US.
  • Has a good working attitude
  • Needs to be able to multitask between multiple projects daily
  • Can work under higher pressure & deal with constant requirement changes
Education

Bachelor or higher degree in EE or related fields
