Organization & Role

The Teradyne Field Applications team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, driven Field Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop SLT system and device testing knowledge on Teradyne’s new SLT platform currently in development and then assist customers on SLT tester operation and capability.
• Develop and help to deploy new test solutions through an understanding of customer device specific requirements and the Teradyne SLT platform capabilities.
• This role relies heavily on electrical and software engineering capabilities.
• Product development test support.
• System Integration of hardware and software.
• Provide Field Sales and Customer support and generate appropriate recommended solutions.
• Develop strong customer technical relationships to gain further insight to the direction and needs of customers.
• Create and present Customer oriented technical content for use in training, writing whitepapers and presenting at key technical conferences.
• Travel to customers sites as required.
  

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Test/Product engineering experience, previous direct SLT experience a plus
• Capable of programming in python, C++, C# and VB
• Experience with SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG, USB, Ethernet protocols
• Possess team skills but work independently
• Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving skills
• Strong proven interpersonal skills, relationships-building skills and commitment to teamwork and “can-do” spirit
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Can work under higher pressure and enthusiastic to work
  

Education

Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related fields
