The Epic System Analyst must be knowledgeable regarding business processing needs involved in hospital and clinic operations. The Epic Systems Analyst is responsible for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle and access applications. Each individual must be able to work to 1) identify and resolve systems issues in coordination with other team members across all other Epic applications, 2) work closely with Operational counterparts to ensure consistent business processing methods, 3) provide expert and creative solutions to end-user requirements and problems, 4) perform in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, interface integration needs, reporting requirements, and 5) take the initiative to respond, research and resolve operational inquiries pertaining to EMR applications. Epic Senior System Analysts will participate in driving operational change within the organization.

The Epic System Analyst is responsible for obtaining the appropriate Epic certification(s) and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and acquiring knowledge of the clinical or revenue cycle/access workflows to be implemented and supported within the system.

Qualifications – Epic Systems Analyst

• Associate’s degree required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Must obtain Epic certification in primary application within 6 weeks of last on-site Epic class and maintain ongoing certification through annual new version training.
• 2 years related functional experience required. Previous clinical or business role in an acute care hospital or ambulatory clinic preferred. Previous experience with Epic build, testing, training or go-live support desired.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with diverse personalities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals and groups representing all levels of the organization and provide unparalleled customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems or difficulties while retaining strong and effective working relationships, staying calm and objective under the stress of deadlines and obstacles.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  

Qualifications – Epic Senior Systems Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Must obtain up-to-date Epic certification in designated application within 6 weeks of last on-site Epic class.
• Minimum of two years related systems experience required. Previous experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory clinic preferred. Previous experience with Epic build, testing, training and go-live support desired.
