your challenge

You will be responsible for providing technical and process engineering support to all areas of our manufacturing operations plus the introduction of new, modified or in-sourced products.

With your technical knowledge and understanding you will identify potential improvements to products, manufacturing methods, tooling, and assets to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence. You report to Chief Operations Officer at IPS APAC.

Tasks

• manage and support engineering projects (e.g. introduce new DISA such as layout, capacity

planning, installation, commissioning etc)

• operational excellence and value engineering

• develop manufacturing methods and deliver new products into production

• working closely on new product introduction projects

• dealing with large CAPEX investment (capex generation, monitoring and adherence)

• acts as project leader or as participants in various optimization projects and/or

implementation projects

• generate, maintain, and update plant layout drawings using CAD to establish safe working

practices.

• working with design to close out PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)

• generate SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure)

• specification, installation, commissioning and approval of new/modified capital equipment,

buildings, and services

• maintaining contacts with suppliers regarding finding new solutions/methods

• draws up guidelines and procedures for the correct and most efficient use of production

resources

• accepts responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and others

• understands and follows company safety, health & environmental and any other company

policies and procedures

Profile

• bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

• extensive knowledge of Ductile Iron casting, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED, 5S methods

• knowledge of quality systems

• knowledge of production, production equipment and production processes

• always searching for improvement

• problem-solving attitude

• prefer to have good knowledge & experience in DISA (自動造模機)vertical moulding

equipment/technology.
