Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION

• Generate schematics, PCB layout (place & route), Bills of Materials, Manufacturing data
• Performance of electrical testing for initial board bring-up.
• Perform R&D testing, compile test data.
• Pre-compliance testing such as RF emissions (EMI) testing, ESD testing.
• Electrical support for performance of design verification testing with emphasis on mechanical issues such as temperature testing, vibration, sound level, accelerated life tests.
• Assist with debug of initial manufacturing issues.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in EE
• 8+ years of experience generating schematics using common electrical CAD programs, preferably Altium.
• 8+ years of experience designing PCBs, executing part placement, routing traces, understanding electrical issues as related to PCBs and RF design.
• Understanding of mechanical issues as they apply to PCB design, enclosure design, mounting, etc.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience executing compliance testing for electronic devices, such as UL, FCC, CE, ESD.
• Experience with Altium and/or OrCAD PCB design software.
• Experience with RF design/testing
