Primary Responsibilities
- Develop new business and identify additional business opportunities through the existing clients’ relationships.
- Cooperate with other BUs to develop marketing initiatives and follow up SGS global plans to make the key contributions to overall marketing efforts of the ESPC group.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Local and Regional Business Development Teams, Other BUs, Support Units, etc.) to address key business issues and explore opportunities.
- Be comfortable working with reports and metrics to measure business development performance.
- Encourage teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.

- Reports To: SBU Manager
Specific Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the work with ESPC Group, and SGS as a whole, including an understanding of local and global trends and an ability to suggest ways in which these are important to SGS and make suggestions to develop organization.
- Understanding of the environmental market and proven ability to analyze the global business trends to drive ESPC business development activities.
- Communicate internally with other SBUs and cooperate with global team to share ideas, identify and gain shared business opportunities.
Cross Department Management
- Working across BUs or functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
Department Management
- Create diversity working environment and encourage innovation in ESPC.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Drive ESPC operational effectiveness and productivity to provide the reliable quality and value-added services to our customers through current methods or apply the new techniques.
- Ensure that systems or methods implemented are adhered to and monitored in conjunction with Quality Policy.
Profile
- Bachelor degree or equivalents in Environmental Engineering or Chemical-related field is preferred
- Greater than 5 years of environmental industry experience in major project size and market sectors with documented sales successes and proven achievements
