Position Summary

This Business Analyst will act as a Data Migration Manager/Analyst and will be part of the data migration workstream. He/she will lead and/or support AllianzGI’s Tier 1 system migration project. He/she will be responsible for performing administrative tasks such as building estimates, and scheduling meetings as needed, coordinating with different departments and support IT PM to ensure data migration and project millstones are completed on time

Key Responsibilities

• Data Migration Manager
• Lead data migration workstream of system migration project
• Coordinate with project management office and other workstream managers to drive the overall progress of the projects, in particular under data migration
• Provide overall architecture of solution and plan for data migration execution and participate in DM strategy discussions and implementation planning
• Good understanding of source system functionality and capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience in dealing with high volume of data and designing the data flow to optimize the performance
• Work with in-house IT and system vendors to drive the progress of migration
• Review vendor project plan for the migration process, including migration risks, milestones, quality, and business sign-off criteria.
• Identify gaps/risks (process, resourcing, timeline and other aspects) on data migration and propose and implement mitigating options
• Devise overall data migration strategy/approach
• Management of risks associated with data migration
• Review source system data quality and drive data quality improvement
• Review conversion tools for data migration
• Oversee and ensure the building of intermediate database creation scripts
• Data Migration Analyst
• Validate the accuracy and quality of the migrated data
• Carry out SIT/UAT on the migrated data
• Data quality, data mapping, and data migration assessment
• Source and target application data analysis
• Work closely with the database administrator on infrastructure support, including data sizing, optimization, and life cycle management
• Quality assurance of data mapping, data gap analysis, data setup assumptions
• Deliver a data mapping instruction document and ensure that the knowledge transfer is maximized within the team (BAU team)
• Monitor, review and evaluate post implementation adoption to ensure data is migrated, setup and handled appropriately
• Liaise with business users and system vendors for data formats and test files (as required)
• Work closely with IT PM, system vendors, and business users to migrate data from Fund Accounting legacy systems into the target system
• Execute the right level of data migration testing to ensure all business, system and transformation rules are tested exceptions and restart ability
• Negotiating issue resolution with tester and project stakeholders when needed
• Coordinating across departments/projects to prevent delays or misunderstandings
• Supports other Implementation teams as and when required
  
  

Experience / Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor degree or above in Business, Finance or IT related disciplines
• Minimum of 7 years working experience in technology or finance industry
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin is preferred
• Demonstrate management experience in digital transformation project, preferably fund accounting system migration
• Experience in working with Microsoft Project Online is preferred
• Experience in running data migration in major projects
• Hands on experience in ETL tools is preferred
• Familiar with data tools such as MS SQL Server database
• Knowledge in fund accounting system, e.g. Jepun or Systemweb, is highly preferred
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
• Good analytical, communication, project management skills
• Ability to work independently and calmly under stress
