Job Description

The Accountant Specialist will be responsible for handling Cost Accounting and process commercial invoices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintaining cost accounting system and cost ledger
• Preparing cost of goods sold reports
• Performing Period-end cost accounting close
• Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
• Assemble, review, and verify invoices
• Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Produce Period reports
• Reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients regarding invoicing

• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• 3+ years’ experience in general accounting or cost accounting
