About Our Client

With over 150 years of history, my client is a NYSE listed maker specialising in speciality ceramic, glass and related materials and technologies for industrial and scientific applications.

Job Description

  • Accurately processes order specifications in both internal and customer order systems, ensuring correct pricing, payment, quotes, shipping/transportation terms, and adherence to standard terms and conditions.
  • Develops and implements a long-term strategy to enhance the organization’s value proposition to the customer, maximize the account’s impact on the organization, and foster targeted relationship development, opportunity identification, and partnership initiatives.
  • Engages executive leadership, when appropriate, in customer visits to bolster the organization’s credibility and expand its presence within the account.
  • Maintains regular contact with the customer to identify, cultivate, and reinforce the relationship, continuously assess the organization’s effectiveness in meeting customer needs, and optimize account penetration and customer retention. Serves as an advocate for both parties, creating value and balancing their respective needs and constraints.
  • Stays abreast of customer requirements and key buying factors, leveraging this knowledge to pursue profitable sales opportunities for existing and future products, and adjusting account plans as necessary.
  • Collaborates with Pricing, Product Line Management, and other departments to negotiate favorable agreements with customers.
  • Proactively clarifies and executes contract terms, aligning customer expectations with the organization’s ability to deliver.
  • Coordinates cross-functional account services (including Applications Engineering, Customer Service, Systems Engineering, and Technical Management) to provide unified support and a seamless customer experience.
  • Gathers market, customer, and competitor intelligence to inform sales, marketing, and technical strategies, as well as demand forecasting and sales planning processes, and shares this knowledge with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collects sales information within the account to support short-term and long-term sales forecasting (such as sales budget and 5-year plan) at both the account and division levels, and contributes to inventory management efforts.
  • Tailors presentations and marketing collateral to align with the customer’s technical requirements.
  • Assesses the overall cost of sales to optimize resource allocation based on available opportunities. Aligns technical and sales capabilities of internal resources with customer needs, while considering individual interests, capabilities, and development requirements
The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Project managing experience, strategy developing and data analyzing experience preferred
  • LCD industrial experience is a plus
  • English and excellent presentation skill
