Enel X has an established business in Taiwan with ambitious growth objectives. Our mission is to help accelerate Taiwan’s transition to renewable energy. We do so by helping business and government customers decarbonise, digitalise and electrify their energy use.

The high-level architecture of our customer offerings looks like this:
- Demand Response: we help customers earn new revenue by trading their power flexibility and on-site power generators in a coordinated way across all available markets
- Electric mobility: we offer hardware, software and energy services to help customers electrify their fleets or offer EV charging stations to their customers
- Battery energy storage systems (BESS): we develop new BESS at customer facilities and utilize our DER.OS optimization engine to operate them in real-time for maximum value capture
- Renewable energy supply: we offer customers unique options for meeting their renewable energy targets, coupled with a risk management platform to help manage costs in volatile market
Energy Markets Operations Analyst
From this place of strength, we plan to dramatically grow the scope and scale of our VPP in the coming years. In this role, you will join a world-class operations team that is working to connect new businesses to our VPP. Reporting to our Operations Lead, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of our VPP assets in the energy market, engaging with customers to maximise value to them from their VPP participation and with Taipower to manage successfully market requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Manage portfolio construction and market bidding strategies
- Execute on bidding and settlement activity with Taipower and customers
- Engage with customers to provide insight on ancillary markets and Enel X’s VPP operations
- Manage registration and compliance for our VPP sites with Taipower
- Provide market analysis and reporting to inform customers and internal teams on VPP performance
- Provide support for internal commercial team, such as quantitative analysis and market research
- Liaise with our software teams to define business requirements for our software tools, and provide business support on rollout, testing and debugging as needed
- Improve our processes to increase efficiency, scalability and enhance controls to ensure quality of output

In order to succeed in this role, you need to possess most of the following attributes:
- A team player with strong communication and relationship building skills to cater optimized processes for internal and external stakeholders
- An intellectually curious mind. We are in a fast-paced industry, so we want someone unafraid of the unknown and who thrives on learning new things
- Knowledge of electricity networks and markets
- Proven aptitude for decision-making and problem solving
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in both Mandarin and English
- Advanced analytics capabilities in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL or other applicable formats.
- Project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritise, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, comfortable operating without day-to-day direction
- Ability to work in teams, in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field such as Engineering, Science or Mathematics
