The Design Team Lead is an experienced designer who has leadership and management responsibility for a team of designers in the development and delivery of multichannel materials that meet established business objectives and results. The Team Lead is responsible for verifying all print and digital materials are technically accurate, meet industry standards and are prepared as production ready final artwork.

 

The Team Lead ensures executional design solutions are delivered on a consistent basis and meet the visual brand standards and guidelines. This role requires strong technical design skills, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to coach and develop Team Members while establishing and maintaining solid relationships within the Creative Strategy Team.

 

Responsible for the executional development and implementation of design solutions for campaigns ranging from very complex to simple, the Team Lead must exhibit expert production design skills and achieve the highest quality standards appropriate for all assigned projects and tasks. The Team Lead will be required to develop basic knowledge of internal business partners’ business challenges to execute design requests. Maintaining current knowledge of printers and print/digital processes, the Team Lead also keeps abreast of new software and technologies and encourages acceptance and use by entire team.

 

The position requires a highly collaborative person who is comfortable both with conducting problem-solving processes and with sharing, as well as accepting feedback. The Team Lead will collaborate with the Creative Strategy and Operations Teams to help develop design processes that will deliver work to clients with quality and efficiency. The Team Lead will also oversee team performance by reviewing quality of work, providing coaching and feedback, delegating tasks to achieve performance goals, and managing the team’s workload to ensure deadlines and target turnaround times are met.
