TW-Product Development Application Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to launch new products in agreed-upon timetable, including fast and accurate reporting, material testing, and adhesive recommendations.
• Handle customer/prospects and internal technical service requests.
• Able to work and communicate effectively with testing team and commercial team to settle technical requests.
• Operate application, analytical, and laboratory processing equipment.
• Provide application & technical support to factories/brands:
• Assist customers in solving problems.
• Product and process, application & technical training.
• Demonstration of equipment, products and applications.
• Analyze technical information and prepare timely and accurate reports.
• Proactively support project teams and the needs of customer.
• Perform internal validation on new procedures
• Provide technical support on plant trial runs.
• Provide PD Engineer with relevant data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements (minimum acceptable and/or preferred):

• Minimum of Associate’s Degree in textile, material science or polymer technology preferred.
• 3-5 years of R&D/manufacturing experience in footwear, apparel or consumer electronics industries.
• Experience requiring training, trouble shooting, and quick response time is highly favored.
• Experience in project management and RSL enquiry is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Up to 20% travel, domestic and international.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational ability.
• Good command in written Chinese and English, good at English speaking is an advantage.
