Region APC > Service Operations APAC > Supply Chain

This role conducts supply chain operations for wind farms across Japan reporting to the Supply Chain Manager GA region. You will coordinate with Service planners, Site Managers, Procurement, S&OP, Warehousing and Transportation teams to provide best in class service to customers. The role will be responsible for timely delivery and customer management, providing supply chain planning inputs, and transport and warehousing coordination and deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Primary point of contact for customers, service site stakeholders for planning and delivery of main components and spare parts to wind farms.
  • Plan and coordinate supply chain operations across the country. This includes Customer management, Sourcing, Procurement, Forecasting, Inventory planning, Warehouse and Transport coordination.
  • Proactive communication on order management and expediting critical turbine down deliveries. - Ensure a high level of customer service support and achieving the performance KPI’s.
  • Independently analyze order volumes to make improvement recommendations, including stocking levels, forecast updates, and technical improvement candidates.
  • Contribute and deliver on supply chain KPI’s (SQDIC) including the contribution to the cost bridge expectations in the business.
  • Channel the regional inputs to support the S&OP initiatives and to improve the overall planning performance in region.
  • Challenge the status quo on the supply chain operations model and engage in disruptive thinking, which will ensure greatness, enhance customer satisfaction, reduce cost, and bring value for Vestas’s customers.
  • Liaise with site managers & planners, sales, CIM, onshore and offshore construction project teams, IT, SDC, external consultants, Engineering, and other business stake holders to understand develop business requirements.
  • Engage with transportation & warehouse stakeholders to identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Engineering
  • Experience in Supply chain Planning, Order management, & Procurement.
  • General Warehousing knowledge
  • SAP working knowledge in Order Management, Demand Planning & Forecasting
  • Able to plan and prioritize your work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese.
  • 3-5 years Supply Chain Experience
