Acer Value Lab (Biomedical Research) is seeking a highly motivated organic or pharmaceutical chemist to establish the team’s drug delivery platform as part of our cancer vaccine development. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, synthesis and analysis of desirable organic molecules for lipid nanoparticles and will work with our multi-disciplinary team to support downstream in vitro and in vivo assays. Acer Value Lab is recruiting AI modelling to develop bespoke cancer immunotherapy. The Role

As a Staff Scientist, you will join a dynamic and growing team with excellent resources and will have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the exciting startup team. Your primary role will be to set up our chemical synthesis lab as well as the design, production, optimization, characterization and validation of lipid nanoparticle formulation. In addition, you will actively participate in all tasks required for delivery platform and will work closely with cross-functional teams to support preclinical studies. You will stay up-to-date with relevant scientific development, collaborate with industrial and academic partners, present results to internal and external stakeholders, prepare reports and maintain accurate and detailed experimental records.

Requirements：

Required:

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or related discipline.

• 2+ year experience in chemical synthesis with proven track record of publications

• Strong working knowledge of organic synthesis

• Experienced in synthesis of ionizable lipid, lipid nanoparticle or liposome will be an advantage

• Strong technical skills in analytical instruments including LC-MS, NMR, HPLC, etc.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data

• Meticulous in documenting work progress

• Team player with ability to work independently

Preferred:

• Experienced in surface modification of nanoparticle will be an advantage

• Hands-on experience developing liposome/lipid nanoparticle systems for targeted delivery applications to cells

• Hands-on experience generating nanoparticles containing nucleic acids

• Hands-on experience with microfluidic, emulsions, encapsulation technology

• Industrial or academic experience in vaccine discovery and production

• Background in cancer immunology or gene delivery
