Staff Applications Engineer

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the design and development of power products i.e. calculation and simulation

Participate in the preliminary evaluation of customer projects, review and confirm customer product design documents

Responsible for prototype production, debugging and design verification of R&D products

Responsible for product topology selection, safety and EMI design and evaluation, and evaluation, testing and verification of newly selected electronic components, evaluation of process and manufacturability evaluation of the designed product, various design verification tests, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical machinery and electronics, and more than 10 years of relevant work experience in server and Hyperscale industry and /or EV OBC industry

Solid AC/DC expertise and strong practical design ability, familiar with the specifications and applications of various electronic components.

Knowledge of AC/DC power supply, especially high frequency switching power supplies using GaN, such as Totem pole PFC, Interleaved LLCC, QR flyback and Active clamp flyback.

Able to trouble shoot EMI issues independently and have a certain understanding of EMI theory. Able to provide technical solutions to important customers and cooperate with customers to develop new products.

Well verse in using simulation and calculation tools i.e Simplis/Simetrix or LTSPICE; Matchcad

Good understanding on PCB layout do’s and don’t’s

Have good logical thinking, strong communication skills, and excellent team spirit to complete tasks.

Manufacturing knowledge is a plus
