Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Communication Plan Development

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies and plans based on an assessment of Taiwan and Hong Kong’s business objectives and strategies
• Oversee all aspects of communications, including but not limited to corporate, product, digital, marketing, executive, and employee communications, as well as corporate social responsibility, with goals to help shape opinion among internal and external stakeholders
• Use communications strategies to manage complex business issues, to monitor the progress of threats, and to respond to crisis around the clock as needed
• Ensure alignment of programs and appropriate leveraging of resources (global & region) to accomplish communications goals
• Collaborate with key functions and business partners to ensure the proper communications support is provided
• Equipped with project management skills, from ideation to execution to completion
  
  

Writing/Editing

• Write and edit consistently in an influential and impactful style, in both English and Chinese
• Connect aligned communication messages across vehicles to influence broader audience and ensure consistency and reinforcement of critical messages – “sees the big picture”
• Write clearly and effectively under pressure
  
  

Digital Transformation & Social Media

• Assess needs and use social media and a combination of digital tools to engage external audience and build the company’s brand across APAC
• Liaise between APAC communicators and the global communications team to maintain and drive traffic to country-specific LinkedIn pages
• In charge of APAC social media content curation and pipeline
• Continue to explore and develop creative use of new social media and digital tools
  
  

Media Relations

• Identify and pursue proactive opportunities to enhance Baxter’s image and promote Baxter’s products. Demonstrate news judgment and knowledge of news processes
  
  

Advocacy Development

• Identify opportunities where advocacy is a key strategy and interact effectively with advocates
  
  

Vendor / Agency Management

• Assess capabilities of vendor/agency to meet communication needs
• Recommend and influence vendor/agency selection
• Participate in the negotiation of the agreement terms
• Provide day-to-day management and oversight of project and raise issues when barriers surface
  
  

Qualifications

• Development of proactive and reactive communications programs for a global and matrix organization
• Experience in interfacing and influencing key business leaders
• Experience to utilize traditional and new media to convey messages to key constituents
• Experience driving communications strategy within a complex, matrix organization
