Location/Division

The Semiconductor Business Unit provides solutions in pathfinding, yield learning, and failure analysis of semiconductor processes and manufacturing. Our broad range of high-performance microscopy workflows provide critical data at the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. Combining hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with deep application knowledge in semiconductor technology, the team is dedicated to the pursuit of discovery. How You Will Make An Impact

The Semiconductor Field Applications Team provides technical expertise to our customers developing groundbreaking products and processes using our innovative technology. The Applications Manager will support the Applications team in their interactions with our customers while guiding them in the development and implementation of creative solutions for the semiconductor and related industries, and coordinating with the account and product teams on key priorities and customer requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Support technology introductions at customer sites, guiding the applications engineers to integrate our products into customer workflows in the lab and fab for failure analysis, characterization, and metrology.
  • Schedule training and technical support to ensure that users can extract the full value of our technology and achieve the best possible results
  • Guide collaborative development of new processes and applications as customer technologies and requirements evolve.
  • Coordinate with product marketing and sales development to drive customer acceptance.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Minimum educational requirement is an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field, or equivalent work experience and high school diploma required. Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience leading a technical team.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing or R&D.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of process development and characterization in the semiconductor or related industries.
  • Attention to detail, a focus on innovation, and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams and to support the technical and commercial sides of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge positive relationships with customers.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, possession of a valid passport.
