Job Description

Position Purpose:

Initiate, design, develop, optimize and problem solving for manufacturing processes.

Major Working Scopes
  • Production machine process improvement, modification and auxiliary facility or building improvement.
  • Project planning, execution and result delivery including timeline, budget and performance. Category includes product innovation and process improvement/ modification or simply equipment replacement, variant tasks of projects.
Qualifications/ Education / Experience Required

Position typically requires a Bachelor of engineering or relevant discipline degree or equivalent experience, continuing self-development and experience in a variety of assignments. Demonstrated personal sensitivity and competency in design and use of engineering/scientific analysis systems/tools.

DIMENSION

Widely With Assignment And Typically Include
  • Project responsibility of yearly $2MM+ USD. Usually in tight timeframe.
  • Project team of 1 to 6 people. 2-3 vendor management at the same time for each project.
  • Multiple projects on going together.
  • From zero to completely deliver the engineering result that met requirements.
  • Documentation and reporting capabilities required.
  • Following improvements after project closure.
Design / Development

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Provide vision and lead engineering expertise in design and development of manufacturing processes to meet objectives. With systematic/ logical thinking when implementing, look at whole picture instead of on specific points.
  • Assist on reducing in the development of expense and capital budgets.
  • Demonstrate to summarize all the requirement and prioritize, how to balance the performance and cost and find the best solution among all the criterions.
Technical Knowledge
  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an implementer of engineering principles and /or scientific analysis in meeting unit objectives.
  • The knowledge of mechanical statics, dynamics and principles of fluid are most often to be used.
  • General understanding of electrical theories or automation control is an additional benefit.
  • Practical experience and knowledge for schedule handling and vendor management are also important for the position.
Safety
  • Carry out responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that must meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well­being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.
Communications
  • Communicate fully and smoothly with superiors, subordinates and others function departments, usually marketing, production planner, R&D, production, and quality team will be involved in the projects.
  • Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive.
Information Security And Documentation
  • Understand in security and documentation utilization to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.
Problem Solving / Continue Improvement
  • Automatically seeking gaps, identifying issues, defining root causes and solving problems to achieve unit objectives. Strong logics of dealing issues and solutions.
Internal Control Compliance
  • Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable Corporate policies. Place emphasis on CFI and Internal Control.
Talent Development
  • Assist in the development of others in the area of incumbent’s expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience. Attitude of learning and sharing is the key to build talent.

  • Provide direction and participative in the practical application of the Quality Management Process in all assignments and responsibilities.

Global VISA and Relocation Specifications:

K-C will not provide support for relocation of the chosen candidate for this role, if necessary, relocation will be at the candidate’s own expense.

However, K-C will provide assistance and financial support to obtain immigration visas and work authorization for the chosen candidate, if needed.
