Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience with technical leadership and people management.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in managing a software development team.
  • Experience working on system on a chip (SoCs) or DSP Algorithm.
  • Experience in Android Audio system development (e.g., Audio drivers, Android Audio HAL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with development and validation on Android Audio Design.

Pixel System Software team builds amazing features and Google software experiences on Pixel devices. Our Audio team is responsible for delivering high quality Audio experience for Pixel and Android users. We work on cutting-edge technologies, from architecture and design of the audio HAL, linux driver, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) development, to design and implement Audio features running in low power, high performance mode.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop excellent Audio software stacks for custom SoCs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Android/Hardware) to develop reliable, high performance, power optimized products with Audio.
  • Drive and lead the technology roadmap, innovation, development, and validation.
  • Diagnose and debug issues reported by test teams and internal users.
  • Create tools and utilities to expand automated test coverage and in-field monitoring.
