Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience, including software development experience coding in C/C++/Java.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS) and Linux platforms (Android or embedded Linux)
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A class processors
  • Experience reading/reviewing schematics and Hardware datasheets.
  • Experience debugging embedded SW/firmware (e.g. gdb, SWD).
  • Experience with optimizing power consumption for battery powered products.
  • Strong desire/interest in working at the Software/Hardware interface level.

On this team you’ll work on the device software for a variety of products and processors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software at the platform level and support previously shipped products when parts are end-of-life and replacements need to be qualified.
  • Bringup new MCUs and SoCs, including areas like secure boot, bootloader, and drivers for MCU peripherals like SPI, I2C, FLASH, PWM, GPIO, DMA, UART, LCD.
  • Write drivers for sensors (e.g. temperature, humidity, magnetic, PIR, radar, etc), typically over I2C or SPI.
  • Optimize system power (especially for battery powered products), charging when we have rechargeable batteries, and manage overall power consumption.
  • We work with closely with many other internal teams to make the product.
