Position Description

The site head is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations on-site. Coordinating and activity involved in activities across all functions on site: planning, production, warehouse, logistic, maintenance/engineering & quality to ensure the supply of quality product in a cost effective manner. Ensure that the site remains in a state of compliance to Elanco and local GMP and HSE standards. Develop and manage the financial/ resource requirements for the site based on the production demands on the facility.

• CAPEX Operations:
• Ensure that manufacturing equipment & site are maintained according to the GMP/HSE requirements. Coordinate obtaining and renewing licenses and compliance with the legal requirements of the sites
• Develop local budget for site - review performance throughout the year.
• Identify site capital plan and manage the implementation of capital projects.
• Work with management to develop the site business plan - Participate in the business planning process for SMN. (Small Molecule Network)
• Continuous Improvement: Responsible for the productivity agenda, continuously improving work practices, quality and reducing costs and support all OpEx lean initiatives.
  

Production

• Actively involved in the daily operations for example detail scheduling/release of process orders/inventory management/resource requirements.
• Work with supply chain planning to generate & approve the detailed manufacturing schedule based on the forecast demand.
• Coordinate functions on site to deliver on the production schedule.
• Deal with and resolve daily issues (staff/computer/equipment/product) in an appropriate time period to ensure that production schedule is maintained.
• Look for process improvements on site to make production more efficient. Metrics/Reporting & Compliance:
• Compliance: Responsible for the adherence to appropriate financial, quality, supply chain, HSE, regulatory internal standards as well as local government standards.
• Continue to develop HSE, GMP and Elanco standards on site & ensure compliance to the standard is maintained.
• Close out audit findings on time, developing action plans in combination with other depts. to close findings.
• Preparation & analysis of site Metrics Reporting - production & financial performance.
• Action plans to address metrics where needed. People:
• Optimize the resources required for the Chungli Operations.
• Instill within the team a culture of excellence, collaboration, integrity and professionalism and deliver sustainable improvements in the key dimensions of responsiveness, reliability, flexibility, quality and cost reduction.
• Ensure staff are qualified & trained to perform task.
• Development and succession plan Project Management:
• Develop site technical agenda with TSMS SMN (Technical Team Small Molecule Network)
  

Minimum Qualification (education, Experience And/or Training, Required Certifications)

• Bachelor degree Chemistry/ Chemical Process Engineering/Operations Business or Equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a management role
• Hands-on experience in Manufacturing / Production/Supply Chain is essential
• Experience in GMP manufacturing plant
• Experience in a multinational company environment
