Key Responsibilities

Supervises a staff of production employees. Ensures adherence to established operations and safety policies and procedures. Maintains standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, process safety management, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Responsible for communications up and down the line and for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and complete. Responsible for responding to personnel, operational and safety and environmental incidents. Ensure work is completed in accordance with production schedules.
  • Ensuring operations is being conducted in alignment with Core Values. Operators have training and equipment to maintain safe operation.
  • Fill day to day staffing and as a backfill, filling gaps as needed.
  • Ensuring adequate ERT (Emergency response team) staffing and calling of overtime if necessary.
  • Emergency shift team leaders
  • Maintain production quality and respond to issues
  • Communication of process variations and incidents to area managers, AUCs, maintenance.
  • Execution of employee onboarding (ex. Shared drive and SAP access), and training
  • Set expectations for the operators; attendance and performance
  • Tracking, entering and approving employee hours
  • Digital HR responsibilities; pay changes, shift changes, hours changes, vacation/holiday entries
  • Digital tracking of new hires during probationary period.
  • Communication and execution of business direction at the shop floor.
  • Communication of monthly Safety Meeting, area incidents, and other business announcements.
  • Ensuring work permits, safety inspections and lockouts are completed for daily activities.
  • Execution to the Production KPIs.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly managing processes and meetings.
  • Maintain a culture of strong operational discipline across the area.
  • Collaboration with maintenance and technical to meet daily challenges.
  • Personnel performance management (e.g. assessments, correction, mentoring).
Qualifications
  • At least 5 yrs. working experience as production supervisor.
  • College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or related fields.
  • P&ID, logic drawing, 6 sigma and 8D knowledge is plus.
  • Good leadership
