As a Senior Service Engineer, you will execute medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines for Electrification business. This position is based in Taiwan.

Reporting to Service Manager, you will be responsible to deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities
  • Performing medium to high complex Service tasks like installation , commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repair independently, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.).
  • Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and under-stands their needs and identifying new sales opportunities and takes influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio.
  • Coordinating, preparing and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Preparing standard lists for ease of work.
  • Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative and report work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed by creating standards or job durations.
  • Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and proactive corrective actions and troubleshooting complex equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
  • Proactively identifying suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discusses them with management for changes.
  • Actively ensuring that HSE practices are of high standard and working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents and consistently applies functional processes considering links to other teams.
Your background
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years related electrical experience
  • Support ABB equipment including but not limited to electrical switchgear (Medium Voltage and Low Voltage), smart products, Digital solutions, HMIs, and so on
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills in English and Mandarin.
