Job Description

As a(n) [Senior Quality Engineer], you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing quality leadership and participating as a core team member on providing quality related supports
• Assuring compliance to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and external standards.
• Evaluating customer complaints, issues, samples, and trends, and then determining the necessary action plans
• Managing supplier quality performance while working for issue investigation and corrective/preventive actions
• Interacting with international plant manufacturing locations and home division and updating quality performance while escalating top issues
• Helping to drive and foster a quality environment and mindset throughout the business
• Driving quality continuous improvement
  

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of (6) years of experience in quality
• Three (5) years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Microbiology, Product Engineering or Laboratory/Technical in a private, public, government or military environment
  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Previous experience working in a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated device or drug environment
• Previous supplier quality management experience
• Previous experience leading Quality Assurance (QA) efforts for marketed products
• Initiative, strong interpersonal/communication skills.
• Possess ISO9001 or ISO13485 quality management system knowledge and internal audit skills.
