About The Role

Uber Eats Taiwan is a strategically important and successful market for UberEats globally. The Marketplace team reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for setting the strategy for each side of the marketplace (consumers, merchants, and delivery partners), launching new products and capabilities, and driving the growth and profitability for the business. We are recruiting to focus on recommending city strategies, driving and executing cross-functionally city initiatives to capture growth opportunities, and optimizing investments.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Senior Operations Manager to join the marketplace team and enable our platform through its next phase of growth and profit optimization.

What You’ll Be

• A strategic partner to the Head of Marketplace to support the growth and optimization of investment of the UberEats Taiwan business, translating country goals into a city & geo inspiring strategy and plan.
• Accountable for driving various commercial results for each city.
• An important cross-functional influential partner to the many teams that do not directly sit in the same team as you, but are critical to the successful execution of your plan, including Sales, Sales Operations, Account Management, Delivery Partners, Consumers, Marketing and many more
• A visible and vocal influential champion for our customers and stakeholders.
• A competent, decisive, and optimistic team player with potential to be a future leader of the City team that can rally many teams and stakeholders to achieve a shared vision.
  

What You’ll Do

• Build strategic framework & process to guide decision making
• Build tools and provide geo insights, analysis, and reporting structures to surface insights and recommend strategies and initiatives to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain a pulse on the industry landscape at a city/geo level to constantly assess threats and opportunities, as well as document and communicate market intelligence.
• Program manage and work with cross-functional teams to execute high priority, needle-moving growth, and optimization initiatives.
• Engage with regional and cross-functional team members to surface and implement best practices. Actively maintain communications with a broad stakeholder base.
  

What You’ll Need

• 6-8 years work experience, including time spent in strategic and operational roles, supported by a history of delivering clear results.
• Strong track record of engaging and influencing cross-functional teams and evidence of successful complex stakeholder management across a variety of functions.
• An analytical mindset and strong business acumen with experience using AppAnnie, SQL, Tableau, and Google Suites
• Advanced statistic modeling (e.g. Machine Learning) skillset is a plus
• An appetite for taking smart risks in a fast-moving, competitive, and often ambiguous environment.
• Pure hustle and passion for building a new consumer business in a competitive market.
• Ability to collaborate and a willingness to listen and learn.
• A team player who doesn’t mind rolling up your sleeves to do the day-to-day work.
• Traditional Mandarin fluency, reading, written, and spoken.
• English Fluency, reading, written and spoken.
