Renesas is seeking a results-driven, operationally oriented, and entrepreneurial-minded professional to manage our Strategic Infrastructure Sales team (SITS) in Taiwan, dot line report to SITS vertical sales head in the U.S. This role will report to Sr. Sales Director (Head of Sales) of Taiwan. As the Director of Sales (Job Title for this role), you will lead a team of sales and FAE’s, by using your past experience in sales, to drive revenue and design-in at both local ODM’s and MNC’s. You will also be accountable for position Renesas as the preferred supplier at each of our customers while outperforming the market growth with our Distribution Partners. This position, not only will lead the local team, but will also be required to cooperate with other SITS teams in the US and China, in forming a global team which will accelerate overall company growth in the infrastructure space. The position will be based in Taipei, Taiwan with regular travel to China, for visiting Taiwan based companies in China.

Key Responsibilities Including
  • Lead team of 20+ including sales and FAE’s in the Strategic Infrastructure Sales Team (SITS).
  • Establish and manage worldwide account team (direct local reports, dotted line global reports) and work with cross functional resources to achieve design in and revenue goals with the entire Renesas portfolio.
  • Direct sales activities at the account with three objectives. 1. Support and cultivate business in established areas of engagement. 2. Develop strategies to develop/hunt for new areas of engagement within the strategic account. 3. Carry out Renesas winning combination and cross selling strategy.
  • Build (executive level) relationship with all key ODM and OEM customers, including key server ODM’s such as Hon Hai (Foxconn) Group, Quanta, Inventec, Wistron, Wiwynn, etc, OEM’s including Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Inspur, Google, AWS, Microsoft, Meta. Key networking customers including Accton, Alpha, DNI.
  • Come out with regular cadence and sales framework to improve sales accountability, account penetration. Formulate and execute a strategic account sales plan based on the entire Renesas product line to achieve broad account penetration in alignment with product roadmaps. Plan should include an annual operating plan based on projected market conditions, customer status opportunity status, and product availability.
  • Establish regular team meetings to ensure global team is driving towards strategic account plan goals.
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the strategic account team in line with the company’s strategic goals and sales objectives.
  • Drive “hunter” mentality within sales team to find new business opportunities in areas of the customer’s business where we are not engaged. Go deeper and broader. Manage FAE team and drive team and individual technical expertise.
  • Work closely with the Product Lines to identify and assess new opportunities for new product development and introduction with credible field and targeted account surveys. Gather market intelligence and develop strategies to action opportunities.
  • Identifying areas for innovation and process improvement in all aspects of strategic sales management
  • Work with Taiwan distribution sales team and carry out distribution strategies.
Education And Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in engineering. Electrical and/or electronics engineering preferred. Master in engineering and/or M.B.A are bonus.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of semiconductor sales experience with 5+ years of manager experience, managing at least 6+ sales and/or FAE’s combined.
Skills
  • The individual must be team player who is goal-oriented and confident, with a strong understanding of how to build high-performing sales team.
  • This individual must have a track record of meeting/exceeding revenue.
  • Strong in semiconductor sales and product knowledge.
  • This person should be highly professional and have strong communication skills.
  • Prior experience managing large strategic accounts
  • Hunter mentality to find and close new business opportunities in new areas within the account and extend contacts beyond known customer contacts is essential
  • Experience in managing a diversified team They should have existing relationships and ability to interface with senior level management
  • Strong sales, problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Familiar with server and networking ODM and OEM’s
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees across a worldwide team to achieve objectives and work together as a team
  • Experience with software applications including Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams). Model N and Power BI are bonus.
