Senior Cost Accountant

Synaptics is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic and growing organization. The role will be part of the inventory & costing team, focused on financial close, forecasting and partnership with supply chain team, and on operational excellence. Major responsibilities include reviewing inventory reconciliation, cost table and any variance arising from different production functions. Other responsibilities will be participating in forecasting process, liaison with auditors and ad hoc projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Review with cost owner on cost setup
• Perform independent review on inventory reconciliation from operations to maintain inventory integrity
• Handle inventory & costing month-end process, including cost variance analysis, non standard cost analysis and royalty/warranty
• Maintain a 12 month rolling forecast on cost variance projection
• Liaise with both internal/external auditors to ensure SOX compliance is fully meet
• Partner with ops team on ad hoc projects, including cost saving and inventory management

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent
• 5+ years of inventory/costing/analytical working experience in MNC
• Advanced MS-Office software especially Excel
• Experience in semi-conductor industry is a plus
• Oracle R12 experience is a plus
• No travel required
