Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management, supply chain, compliance, or risk management
  • 5 years of experience leading analysis, projects in water, and/or waste mitigation, and/or biomimicry, or a related environmental field

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience analyzing ecosystem metrics for a reference habitat, and leveraging biomimicry principles to achieve environmental and social goals
  • Experience driving zero waste-to-landfill certification programs for large industrial operations
  • Ability to manage complex, global infrastructure, and water sustainability initiatives, including water risk assessments and water footprinting
  • Ability to have a creative approach to solve multi-stakeholder challenges, thrive in environments with ambiguity and uncertainty, a robust executive presence, and build relationships to success
  • Project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, across technical and commercial domains both internally and externally

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As part of Google’s Supplier Responsibility team, you will be responsible for ensuring services are provided, products manufactured, purchased, or constructed by vendors on behalf of Google are done so in accordance with human rights standards, environmental regulation, and Google’s standards of business conduct. Our Supplier Code of Conduct forms the foundation of our Supplier Responsibility Program. As part of our team, you will engage with multiple customer groups, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers to build a more responsible supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing supply chain water footprinting and water risk assessment activities.
  • Support the identification of ecosystem services, reference habitat metrics, and develop recommendations for supplier facilities to achieve similar performance goals.
  • Work across teams to develop risk mitigation activities.
  • Drive zero waste-to-landfill efforts with key manufacturing suppliers.
  • Design supplier training on water and resource efficiency.
