Job Purpose:

HCL Technologies (Taiwan) Ltd is subsidiary of HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL Technologies: IT Services, Digital Solutions, Technology Consulting) providing Services towards HW product engineering, prototype builds, Design and manufacturing, Software Engineering validation activities, and Taiwan development center facility and Lab management services.

This Program Manager (Service Delivery Manager)is to manage the delivery support and maintain operations to the satisfaction of the customer and meeting the agreed service levels (SLA and quality metrics) and within the cost budgeted for providing the support. Also to maintain customer relationship and business continuity & growth.

Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery Management (30%): Managing Support operations to make customer delivery as per Agreed SLAs & Delivery KPI / Metrics (Task management includes Team Task tracking, Monitoring, and reporting through WSRs)
  • Customer Interaction(20%): To have constant Interaction with Customers (conduct Monthly/QBR calls, periodic PCSAT polls, Risk management, Escalation management)
  • People Management(20%): Managing Cost of providing service within budgeted levels, lead / guide and coach the team (includes Timesheet approvals, Leave Approval, Expense approvals, Appraisals, Attrition control & replacement, On-boarding/Offboarding, Team Skill Gap Assessment, Training identifications, and Trainings team to improve skills/attain new skills)
  • Business development(30%): To sustain and grow Service line business (to provide service delivery proposals for RFQ/RFP, JD creation, Drive recruitment for new/ open positions and hiring people, Process Improvement and Value creation)
  • Mandatory Skills/Requirements:

    • Min. BSEE, or equivalent science/engineering degree; MBA is a plus & 10+ Years of Work Experience
    • Fluent in English – Listening, Speaking and Writing.
    • Very good knowledge of Electronic Product life cycle, should have experience in working across the product lifecycle of at least 2 different products.
    • Proven experience in managing cross functional teams & stake holders (customer, vendors, onsite, offshore, support functions and other cross functional teams) for successful product service delivery and improve Productivity, SLAs & quality of deliverables.
    • Understand customer expectations, program requirements, development process flow and ways of working
    • Engage communication with customer SPOCs proactively & regularly. Attend all important meetings and establish good connect with Program Engineer and functional manager at customer site.
    • Understand customer concerns (both said and non said) and alert team timely and escalate to well defined escalation path if there’s serious concern that need immediate attention & resolution
    • Customer reporting with respect to status report, review of overall tasks and issue/escalation resolutions
    • Ability to enforce and maintain organizational process consistency among multiple projects and product teams
    • Need to have very good people / team management skills; Resource forecasting and team building, Define Job Description and Hire new resources as per project/program requirement. Groom and Mentor Team, Define Goals and Conduct appraisals. Minimize attrition and keep flock together. Off-boarding” and “replacement” resources with suitable KT process. And monitor the progress and sends weekly status report to all stakeholders.
    • Identification training needs and keep building the team skills with respect to latest technologies and customer requirements
    • Experience in Risk management concepts – Predict project risks at the start, Identify the risks during course of execution, plan mitigations and track the risks to closure.
    • Experience in data management practices to comply with documented procedures and practices

    Desired Skills/Requirements

    • Someone with super strong communication and interpersonal skills (you’ll need this to work with distributed teams with various culture), passion to build teams and be a part of the team as an equal individual contributor while being a fearless leader managing without authority
    • Strong business sense and prior job experience including trend analysis of consumer electronics market landscape, business portfolio management (product roadmap, P&L, feature definition and tradeoff, etc.), contract/ negotiation/ supplier management capability, product design and development.
    • Passion to define, pursue and deliver the best in class services and world class end customer experience, taking into account of business needs and technological opportunities
    • Min. 5years of program manager titled professional experience in consumer electronic products that covers from end-to-end product development, including production definition, design, development, mass production.
