MAJOR PURPOSE:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying and building game-changing glass application opportunities in display, electronics, life-science, automotive and semiconductor. This is a forward thinking role that will partner closely with our R&D and Sales teams to create, develop and deliver new global market and product innovation strategies. The successful candidate will work intimately & agilely with our cross functional leadership team to build and maintain a strong pipeline of growth opportunities balancing the near term growth opportunities with long term development efforts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Strategy Development :

Ø To create Global Strategy for Glass Business for the Group & implementing the global market strategy in display, electronics, life-science, automotive and semiconductor, including segmentation and implementation milestones.

Ø Define market segments & company’s value proposition.

Ø Creating & defining growth Strategy for the company - organic / inorganic strategy.

Ø Outside-in - Playing key role in understanding the Competitive, technologic landscape of the Industry.

· Strategy Deployment:

Ø Communicating and implementing company’s strategic roadmap internally and externally so that all stakeholders - employees, partners, suppliers, and contractors understand the company-wide strategic plan.

Ø Establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities and translating them into a comprehensive strategic plan.

Ø Partnering with institutional leadership, special committees, and consultants to support execution of key initiatives.

· Internal Collaboration & Consulting

Ø Collaborate with the sales team to promote innovations & better understand market needs; train front line on value proposition & provide support to implement market plans.

Ø Align R&D development work with market trends, unmet needs and marketing goals.

Ø Partnering with the Business/Functional leaders in organizational issues.

Ø For all identified programs, drive Marketing Process:

1) Market Assessment,

2) Validation and

3) Launch Plan for Market Entry

4) Go to Market Drive via stakeholder buy-in through each milestone of the Marketing Process.

· Mergers & Acquisitions

Ø Partnering with M&A Consulting firms and evaluating opportunities for inorganic growth as per Strategic direction of the company.

Ø Chartering the M&A Strategy & deployment.

· Representing the Company in external Industry forums.

Person Specification:

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :(Critical Exposure)

Ø Must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing with relevant experience.

Ø Preferably an MBA in Marketing, Business or Technical discipline.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :(Critical Exposure)

Ø Minimum 10 years of working experience in glass or display panel industry, and knowledgeable in value chain, key players, application requirements and material solutions will be considered with higher priority.

Ø Ideal candidate has both a strong technical and business background with experience in portfolio development & management.

Ø Technocrat - Must be a passionate & enthusiastic technocrat foreseeing the technological shifts not only in Display Industry, but also destructions that may be created by developments in other industries.
