• The successful candidate will join a talented ASIC development team and will have the challenging technical opportunity to contribute to the design of a new high-performance Solid State Drive product.

Job Description

• In this technical lead/contributor role, essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Previous technical leadership experience
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Should be a fast learner and a good team player
• Comfortable working in a multi-site ASIC team for enterprise SSD controller development.
• Work with the ASIC architect to define the functional block or chip specification
• Responsible for the functional block development which includes new RTL design, integration, and RTL reuse.
• Work with the verification team to define the verification task.
• Work with other design team members to implement the test plan.
• Support the definition and development of SSD ASIC strategies
• Support the synthesis, physical layout and gate-level simulation teams
• Support the silicon bring-up and Silicon validation team.
• Able to work independently, plan tasks/sub-tasks and report progress on weekly basis.
• Prior knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python or Tcl is a plus.
  

Qualifications

• Must have strong logic design background.
• Proficient in RTL (Verilog/VHDL), design verification, and debug.
• Proficient in CDC/Lint checking.
• Experience in low-power design methodology.
• Experience in DFT, synthesis and timing analysis.
• Experience with System Verilog Assertions and System Verilog for Design
• Experience in one or more of the domain skills: ARM/AMBA, PCIe/DDR, internal data flow queuing/de-queuing, Encryption/Decryption, and NAND Flash.
• Storage or related experience is a plus.
• Familiar with gate level simulation debug, transaction and random pattern based verification
• Demonstrated problem solving skills coupled with attention to detail and enthusiasm for a right first time approach.
• BSEE or MSEE with 12+ years of experience in ASIC design.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and emails in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to internal customers and other employees of the organization.
• REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
