Synaptics is looking for a Principal Digital Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. Synaptics WiFi®/Bluetooth® Combo chipsets and system solutions provide the technology to make wireless local area and personal area networking a reality. Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Synaptics WiFi®/Bluetooth® Combo chips enable the wireless sharing of electronic devices, from smart mobile devices, wireless stereo speakers to tablets, PCs, gaming systems, home entertainment solutions and automobiles. This position reports to the Director, IC Design Engineering.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Act as primary technical lead for BT SoC projects or BT Modem developments
• MCU core, bus-matrix, DMA and peripherals design
• Bluetooth baseband or MAC design
• Digital SOC design/integration, including RTL, SDC integration and relative checks including CDC, nLint, clock/reset/mixed-mode/DFT architecture, design and verification
• Whole chip synthesis, DFT(SCAN/MBIST) insertion, LEC and STA, timing closure
• FPGA synthesis and verification

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Engineering, Communication, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field or equivalent
• 15 years in Digital IC Design and Verilog coding
• Familiar with at least one of the followings: computer architecture, MCU peripherals, WiFi and Bluetooth
• Solid understanding of digital IC design flow (design, verification, synthesis, HW/SW co-working)
• Solid understanding of FPGA synthesis and verification flow
• Demonstrated experience with tapeout of new product
• No travel required
