PD Lab Manager

Jobinhalt

• Overseeing lab technician work and supervise the training of new lab technicians
• Maintain the lab’s equipment and supplies to ensure that experiments are conducted safely, effectively, endurably and efficiently
• Perform accurate experiments and measurements requested by PD managers
• Provide measurements, test data analysis and preliminary failure analysis.
• Specific tasks upon request.
• Foresee projects needed or market trend to design or survey the cutting edge equipment
• Evaluate lab resources and related plans in both people and equipment.
• New lab planning, new equipment procurement, old equipment scraping and related estimation report.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific developments
• Plan, organize and direct laboratory activities. This includes developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures, setting goals and objectives, and monitoring progress.
• Make recommendations for improvement
• Establishing and maintaining guidelines to make the best practices of data measurements and related failure analysis.
• Prepare reports and budgets. This includes tracking expenses, generating financial reports, and preparing budgets.
• Represent PD to join the regular lab community, present related issues and host the meeting by turns.
• Represent the PD at lab conferences and other events. This includes giving presentations, networking with other labs, and promoting the laboratory’s work.
  

• Master’s degree in a science or engineering field
• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory management
• Strong understanding of scientific principles and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Familiar with product development cycle, design concepts and failure analysis techniques
• Experience with statistical tools and reliability data analysis (Weibull++, JMP and/or Minitab, etc.)
• Knowledge of Industry Test Standards (JEDEC, ASTM and/or IEC)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
