What We Offer

Major Tasks:

• Responsible to lead maintenance technicians to define PCT maintenance strategy.
• Responsible for DCS training to train new employees, regular re-train employees and ensure the effectiveness of training.
• Responsible to support the site capital investment projects and LSS improvement projects with PCT knowledge and experiences.
• Responsible for scope definition and accountable for technical acceptance of plant modifications, from the reliability, product quality and control performance perspective.
• Accountable to maintain and safeguard the as-built plant documentation standards in his/her area including critical equipment / instrument & safety PM/PdM compliance documentation, as well as control system configuration.
• Accountable for maintaining legal and corporate compliance of PCT installations.
• Ensuring safe and efficient PCT installation and PCT practices while ensuring technological advances via focused use of modern technology.
• The job holder must be well versed in working with cross functional departments within Covestro to understand and anticipate the customer’s needs for an efficient utilization of production assets and forward looking to understand and anticipate technology trends in all areas of process control technology. Develop and maintain relationships with PCT engineer expert peers at other Covestro TPU facilities to foster (a) experience exchange and (b) identification of synergies, those of which could lead to PCT improvements at the site.
• Support APAC TPU sites on PCT for production issues, investment projects, continuous improvements and functional safety.

Work relation:

• Production & Maintenance Dept. – Daily engineering services, including process, equipment modification or improvement projects
• HSEQ – Execute projects in line with regulatory and company HSEQ requirements
• Procurement – Get the needed services or materials for all engineering activities
• Business Support – Controlling of expenses and capital investment
• R&D – Support new process or technology set up
• PTG – Part of PTG. Collaboration, experience exchange and best practice sharing with other sites and support PTG activities.
• GPCT -- Collaborate with GPCT and implement the trending technologies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• BS degree or above in Electrical(Electronic) Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other technical related majors.
• At least 8 years relevant working experience of industry plant.
• Require knowledge of equipment, piping or process design and capital project execution.
• Experience in process control technology and has specific expertise in fields such as Instruments, PLC, HMI.SCADA, DCS.
• Strong self-motivation and coordination skills; can handle complex issue related to people. Willing to train and support people.
• Must be able to set priorities for self and project targets, and able to solve problems under pressure and in a timely manner.
• Capable to demonstrate flexibility for changing tasks.
• Fluent on both spoken and written English.(TOEIC score 800 or above)
• A creative mind is crucial to this position.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to build rapport.
• Possess good planning, communication and co-ordination skills.
