About the Role

As the Onshore Substation Planner, you will be part of the Onshore Substation and Project Management Office team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project and will report directly to the Planning Manager and Onshore Substation Site Manager for the Hai Long Project. After a first period in the Project offices in Taipei, this position will be based in the Project Onshore Substation site offices in Changhua. You will drive time management and human resource planning for the onshore works of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Farm Project.

Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the onshore works schedule and driving time management resources in compliance with policy set by the management of the Hai Long Projects.
  • Supporting the project management team in in assisting the Hai Long Projects in the preparation of dedicated time schedules with relevant project milestones for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Controlling and maintaining time schedules and performing schedule analyses.
  • Communicating and reporting progress, performance and forecast on a regular basis.
  • Securing coordination and alignment between the package schedules and key milestones with the overall project schedule.
  • Preparing and updating the final project timeline report.

In support of the above responsibilities, the Project Planner’s specific tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Reviewing and commenting Contractor’s schedules.
  • Support Contractors in the schedule management to make sure Hai Long needs are understood.
  • Establishing and maintaining the HL internal schedule for the onshore works fully integrated in the overall Project schedule.
  • Managing the schedule trend analysis, conducting professional scenario analyses, tracking of milestones, preparing critical path- and float analyses and progress S-curves.
  • Supporting the project management team in key decision making by delivering scheduling inputs, as well as assessing schedule risks and opportunities.

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • BSc or MSc university degree.
  • Direct work experience as Planner for large infrastructure projects preferably substation/power plant projects.
  • Direct work experience in the offshore wind industry is a plus.
  • A team player with ability and motivation to work in a diverse environment with people of different cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluency in Chinese and excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
