Career DescriptionSummaryJob DescriptionThis position will be responsible for application server and hardware equipment both in office and IDC. This includes maintain high service level, and first line trouble shooting. He or she must coordinate between the company and external vendors/contractors about IT-related infrastructure and development. The IT Specialist will work with different department on any issues that might come up and advise potential fixes or efficiency controls.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet service level
  • Manage daily operations of the IT department
  • Coordinate the needs of in-house IT experts and remote employees, vendors and contractors
  • Help determine capital investment priorities and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.
  • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with business groups and their leaders across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities.
  • Implement the most appropriate and effective IT organizational design to support and engage with the business.
  • Establish appropriate service levels and the processes to ensure that KPIs are met.
  • Maintain oversight of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.
  • Establish a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Monitor the industry for developments in IT operations; evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks.
  • Review, recommend, and oversee all vendors and managed service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, and equipment.

  • Highly interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; able to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Possesses analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good negotiating skills with internal customers and external service providers.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; can handle the unexpected with flexibility.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Demonstrated experience with SaaS, cloud-based, and outsourced solutions through third party providers.
  • Knowledge of a range of technology solutions, like ERP, E-commerce and infrastructure; able to select and integrate the most appropriate technologies to support the business
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security and risk management.
  • Enterprise level ERP design/implementation experience is required.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics or another related area, and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Oracle database administration and PL/SQL experience about 2 years.
  • Unix OS administration experience is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of TIPTOP ERP 4GL is preferred.
  • Good communication skill is preferred.
  • Knowledge of EDI (Electronic data Interchange) is a plus.
  • Network knowledge is a plus.
