Position Summary
  • An influential HR role that will lead the HR agenda for Taiwan, focussing on best practice HR, transformational change, capability building and ensuring that Edrington Taiwan maintains an attractive culture that people want to work within.
  • This position reports directly into the Managing Director-North Asia with matrix report to Regional HR Director serve as chief advisor on the status of employee climate and satisfaction. Business partnering skills are essential. This role will operate as part of the Regional APAC HR management team. The role also will have management responsibility for local admin support (HR Executive and Receptionist) To manage the overall recruitment, staff training & development, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee welfare, employee relations, and office administration.
  • As a member of the management team, with special knowledge in Human Resources, contribute to the formulation of overall company strategy and be jointly responsible for achieving agreed company objectives.
Job Description
  • Provide high quality HR business partnering to Taiwan LT members (Head of Sales, Head of Finance, Head of Marketing) and line managers to deliver exceptional HR for all employees.
  • Lead on deployment of the key HR activities across stakeholder group including annual PDR review, talent review and salary process & engagement survey.
  • Build a strong employer brand for Edrington in markets, manage relationships with panel agencies, ensure there is a great candidate experience for potential new employees and manage local recruitment process as required. Lead and manage Orientation / Induction program for new hires.
  • Partner with our global Reward team to ensure Edrington’s Reward philosophy is achieved and maintained taking responsibility for compensation in Taiwan as a local point of contact for compensation and benefit management and related enquires and providing insights to ensure that we remain competitive.
  • Build capability to ensure our people are ready and able to deliver strong performance by proactively identifying learning & development solutions in line with business needs with the ability to market programmes in an impactful way.
  • Embed the Edrington Academy & learning culture (70-20-10 approach) and acting as an active coach/enabler for line-managers.
  • Maintain and refresh key policy documentation and Handbook and ensure implementation and compliance. This includes both company-wide policies as well as Taiwan specific.
  • Maintain employee files and databases are accurate and up to date, providing HR reports as required.
  • Consistently operate as a role model of Edrington’s values and leadership standards, acting on feedback to ensure excellence in service provision and continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Champion the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda across the business driving DE&I initiatives.
  • Lead on regional HR projects and global HR initiatives as required.
  • Lead, manage and motivate 2 team members (HR Executive and Receptionist)
  • Co-lead and execute charitable giving activities for Taiwan with budget management control
  • Govern Taiwan’s Engagement & Performance Plan with budget management responsibility.
  • To prepare annual manpower budget in consultation with the Division Heads for final approval by Management. Translate the manpower budget to facilitate recruitment & selection activities to meet company’s policies / operational objectives.
  • To manage employees’ relations which include teambuilding, grievance handling / disciplinary actions, employees’ communication and innovate to enhance work relationships.
  • To establish and implement HR policies and procedures for effective management of HR functions. Review and renew people related insurance schemes.
Skills And Experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in HR management
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in a HR generalist role with a luxury or consumer goods industry
  • Previous OD, change and communication experience would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of end to end HR processes & principles and HR practices, including laws and regulations for Taiwan
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information, matters and decisions with integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • Good project management skill with capability of turning ideas into constructive framework.
  • Fluent in English
