Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in embedded development.
• Experience in C, C++ and Linux driver development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with software of embedded mobile devices and hardware subsystems.
• Experience with NFC or Secure Element or UWB software stack development.
• Knowledge of Linux kernel, Android system, and embedded software system design.
• Understanding of all major standards such as GSMA, EMVco, NFC Forum, Global Platform.
• Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and troubleshooting skills.
  
  

About The Job

The Google Pixel team is building innovative hardware and software solutions for consumers. You’ll develop the software for future Google wearable devices like Pixel watches. You will also help architect, develop, test and deploy complex embedded consumer devices.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support features for Pixel devices.
• Collaborate with chipset vendors and Android Open Source Project team to develop and launch features for Pixel devices.
• Conduct technical deep dives to resolve firmware/software issues.
