Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications/Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with LTE and 5G NR protocols development.
• Experience in 3GPP AS/RRC/DATA protocols.
• Experience in C/C++ and embedded real-time operating system (RTOS).
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with issue analysis for AS/RRC/DATA of the LTE/5G wireless network.
• Experience developing with wireless technologies (e.g., 5G, LTE-FDD / LTE-TDD, UMTS, or GSM).
• Experience in and knowledge of AS/RRC, Data Path (i.e. PDCP/RLC/MAC), and Power/Performance optimizations.
  
  

About The Job

In this role, you will focus on the development, integration, and customization of modem AS/RRC/DATA features on Android devices, working closely with extended workforce. You will be the point of contact for all debugging, triaging, and fixing modem issues from factory and certification (i.e. GCF/PTCRB/IOT/FIT). You will also be responsible for developing power and performance optimized connectivity solutions.

• Develop Access Stratum/Radio Resource Control (AS/RRC) features.
• Develop power and performance optimized connectivity solutions in AS and data layers.
• Debug, triage, and fix modem AS/RRC/DATA layer issues from factory, certification (GCF/PTCRB/IOT), or field tests.
