Failure Analysis Engineer

We are looking for an EFA (Electronical Failure Analysis) & PFA (Physical Failure Analysis) Engineer to support the trouble shooting and co-work with partners to identify action plan in our Top American client’s next generation’s Server Lab. (client’s largest overseas server lab outside US)

Responsibilities

• To characterize server hardware and identify the root cause of failures.
• To carry out various kinds of failure/defect analysis, failure analysis technicians support various kinds of characterization measurements and at the same time continuously learn new characterization techniques.
• Work with partners to identify action plans to drive towards conclusions. Analysis and troubleshooting during the process.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all documented processes and procedures.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with international teams
• An independent solution provider to share the professional suggestion and follow up on the issue fixing. Can deep dive in electrical/physical debug area.

Required Experience

• 6+ years related experience
• Electrical & Physical Failure Analysis experience (EFA & PFA) in RD stage prefer.
• Familiar with laboratory or manufacturing test environments.
• Hands on work with various tools including new instrument installation, method of validations, optical metrology, microscopy, thermal and spectroscopy techniques.
• Hands on work with lab’s methods of validations; Electrical characteristics measurement, Non-destructive analysis, Defect detection, etc. (e.g. Red Dye Penetration Test, UT test, Probe test for voltage current, EMC/ESD, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server Hardware, or equivalent, or data center server and rack hardware is a plus.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to be well organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented individual, must be able to work collaboratively in team environment and across internal divisions.
• Certification Lab, Data Center, Cloud experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mfg. Product Engineering or similar Mfg. experience.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting
• Interest and aptitude in Information Technology.
• Experience in security system design and engineering.
