Having Diversity and Inclusion as part of our core values and beliefs, we’re proud to foster an environment where every Extreme employee can thrive because of their differences, not despite them.Job DescriptionBe part of a small team of highly skilled designers in the systems development of next-generation cutting-edge networking products, responsible for second source verification and resolving field issues - including datasheet review, verification plan review, verification report review, test, and release to production.ResponsibilitiesDirectly responsible for second source verification and resolving field issues of world-class networking products via ODM engagement.Directly responsible for critical component survey for multi-sourcing during NPI stage via ODM engagement.Assist in the debug of any NPI issues that may impact product quality after mass production.Operate collaboratively within a team of system designers and subject matter experts, imparting experience and cultivating skills.Review datasheet and verification plan of ODM’s proposed second source, oversee ODM’s verification and review verification report, and perform critical component selection based on performance, cost, and feature tradeoffs.Engage with operations team members to transition products into volume manufacturing.Assist in debug of the more technically challenging issues encountered during customer deployment.Minimum QualificationsA master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.Looking for a minimum of 4+ years of digital hardware design experience or equivalent. The ideal candidate’s work experience is in the computer/networking industry.Prefer experience in full product life cycle development from concept through volume manufacturing.Analog design, digital design, power subsystem, high-speed SERDES, and FPGA design experience are desired.Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
