As DFX Engineer in the Product Development Team, you’ll take responsibility for leading development projects from concepting through to mass production. Your goal is to ensure that products are built according to specifications, and shipped to the given timeline. You’ll bring a deep working knowledge of product development for consumer electronics products.

You’ll need to have a strong understanding of product development process and hands on experience in bringing products to life. You’ll also need excellent cross-organizational and project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving, and highly innovative environment.

You will be part of the Design for Excellence (DfX) team that enables and delivers emerging technologies in new product categories. Your end-to-end engagement will include design development, new design and process characterization, and manufacturing launch of next generation Vanmoof Products. You will get to collaborate with engineering disciplines across the company.

What will you do:
  • Develop assembly processes and mechanical designs to enable products to move through the development phase.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to identify design elements that are new, unique, or difficult and enable their realization through engineering validation cycles.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to define, characterize and deliver manufacturing processes.
  • Direct activities to solve complex design and manufacturing challenges, support cost reduction and yield improvement efforts, invent and commercialize new technologies and manufacturing methods.
  • Plan and perform statistical analyses to characterize process and design interactions.
  • Generate best practices guidelines and documentation to enable efficiencies in future hardware development and launch activities. Drive clear and accurate communications and recommendations to peers and senior management by distilling complex technical challenges, outlining options, and providing supporting data.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min. 5 yrs. Experience in a mix of engineering and Project Management fields.
  • Experience in both design and manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

  • You have an appreciation for numbers and are comfortable presenting.
