Design Execution Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage the design team to localize Plan of Record, meeting all local codes and local requirements.

2. Engaged from Master Planning through Construction. Responsible for managing design on 1-2 site specific projects from basic of design to 100% design, through Construction Administration / Supply Demand Coordination

3. Work with Project Control Group to take the model cost and schedule and localize based on early design.

4. Drive & track technical decisions made by program & project team leader

5. Drive design meetings, provide continual input to optimize design, minimize unnecessary work, ensure meetings are efficiently managed.

6. Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedule along with Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Project Manager, Data Center R&D and Engineering and consultants.

7. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders

8. Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables and price with consulting firms.

9. Facilitate planning workshops with internal stakeholders

10. Facilitate kickoff and planning workshops with external partners

11. Facilitate design reviews in partnership with external partners

12. Facilitate large scale workshops as necessary

13. Facilitate Issue for construction (design drawings or documents) model and design documentation handover to the General Contractor

14. Issue and administer contracts

15. Track deliverables as well as cost, schedule, progress and scope

16. Coordinate design teams from matrixed internal stakeholders and the procurement of external partners

17. Manage design changes through to Facility Ready and closeout:

1. Coordinate cost and schedule impacts of proposed design changes pre- Issue for construction (design drawings or documents)

2. Provide input at site led Change Control meetings, and coordinate proposed changes with the Architect and Engineering (design firm)

18. Manage company Deviate Eliminate meetings with Owner Furnished Equipment vendors

19. Drive technical decisions in-line with project scope, schedule, budget

20. Coordinate design activities with procurement and construction

21. Provide clear and transparent communication with all internal stakeholder and external project partners

22. Ensure the issuance of engineering information to the right party, at the right time, in the right format

23. Manage design teams to deliver CMMS asset list for Data Center Infrastructure Operations

24. Manage the design team during Construction Administration / Supply Demand Coordination:

1. Manage design team performance to ensure they are meeting the terms of the contract

2. Attend weekly Owner Architect Contractor meetings

3. Drive design related issues to closure

4. Manage design changes during construction (scope, quality, schedule, cost)

25. Monitor Request For Information process by Gereral Contractor. Manage the review and interrogation of RFI’s as required with the project team.

Follow up and close out design related issues through Construction Administration and Comissioning


Job Requirements:· Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in design management or project management will be advantageous

· Conversant with Taiwan building codes and ordinances

· Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

· Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

· Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate

figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
