General Summary

Manages customer requirements and demand from the start of concept through design, forecast, ordering, budgeting, production, receipt and shipment to ensure on time and accurate delivery to meet customers’ needs. Analyzes and manages demand streams on production ready devices and allocations of production material. Monitors and analyzes consumption and creates reports or dashboards. Acts as a liaison between internal/external customers and PMO, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations.

The Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Works under some supervision.
• Provides some supervision/guidance to other members; does not have direct reports.
• Decisions are moderate in nature. Errors are detected and corrected with relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships. May require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role may require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department. Erroneous decisions, failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules and result in the re-allocation of some resources.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
• Most tasks do not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach; mistakes may result in significant rework.
• Creativity is needed to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.
• Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required.
• Occasionally participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.
  
  

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages demand for a portion of a product line to track supply performance and inventory levels. Ensures on-time, accurate shipment and delivery to customer, with minimal guidance.
• Determines and manages the availability and distribution of production material to meet customer demand. Ensures accuracy of commitments per forecast and sales order.
• Coordinates supply planning efforts, including maintenance of forecasting modules and plans of record.
• Helps manage transition away from active production, component replacements, and product availability.
• Monitors and analyzes consumption. Reports consumption and demand variance, and recommends corrective actions as needed.
• Identifies and communicates supply and delivery issues, including supply disruptions across the supply chain.
• Manages the gathering and analysis of complex data and information by region or customer from a variety of sources (e.g., budget forecasts, customer attach rates, supply vs. forecasted demand, supply vs. orders placed). Interprets fundamental patterns or trends and makes data-informed recommendations, with minimal guidance. Creates reports across teams and audiences and assists with creation of dashboards and system enhancements.
• Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to integrate projects and/or ensure changes work with other components of a specific project.
• Manages team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small to mid-sized projects. Follows established processes and recommends improvements.
• Re-scopes projects, identifies resources, delegates work, and reviews the work of team members in order to address changing timelines or priorities.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
  
  

Education

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors

Work Experiences

3+ years Demand Planning, Project Management, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations Planning, or related work experience.

Work Experiences

1+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports). ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,3+ years experience with analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, COGNOS, Qlik View) ,3+ years experience with relevant systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Demantra, Rapid Response).

Certifications

APICS - Any, Black Belt/Six Sigma certification - Any, PMP Certification, professional certificate in Project Management, or similar certification. - Various Organizations
