Job Description

A fantastic opportunity where the candidate will be exposed to varied and exciting matters and be a part of a high-performing, collaborative team. The legal counsel will be reporting to the General Counsel and division heads and involved in a wide range of legal matters and responsibilities. Day to day tasks are inclusive but not limited to:

• Drafting, advising and negotiating commercial contracts, such as confidentiality, procurement, supply, collaboration and/or other transactional legal documents relating to the daily operations of the Company
• Supporting investment transactions and equity and debt financing projects
• Working with patent team to draft and review contracts or legal documents relating to intellectual property rights, such as joint development, research, license or assignment agreements
• Advising on ad hoc legal, compliance and regulatory inquiries
• Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures for the Company’s global operations
• Organizing or providing internal training related to legal, compliance and intellectual property knowledge

Qualification

• LL.B, JD or equivalent law degree
• Qualified to practice law in Taiwan and/or a common law jurisdiction
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin; preferably having solid experience practicing law using English as primary working language
• 2 to 6-year PQE in private practice or as corporate in-house role, broad experience in intellectual property and technology transaction contracts or IP litigations and/or exposure to high-tech & clean energy industries or a listed company will be a huge plus
